Hey Guys!
I just wanted everyone to know that Tom Macchi made watering the garden sooooo much easier.
Instead of having to run up and down the hill10 times, he hooked up a hose to the back of the trailers by Spruance and ran the hoses through the woods directly to the garden, so our hose will always be right there and can stay right there. He also bought us a wonderful nozzle attachment.
Here's how to work it.
The water is constantly on. We are using the timer device to turn it off and on.
(Refer to picture)
(when you are holding the hose with sprayer away from you)
When the zero is facing you, the water is turned off. Turn it clockwise to any of the other numbers, which are time increments, to turn it on. The very end of the nozzle turns as well to adjust the spray.
If anyone has any questions, let me know.
I'm around Murphy most of the time. And my number is 610.506.5660
Happy Watering and Eating!
Jenny

Hi, All,
This is Laura--I ended up as "Bob" b/c my husband started the account & I can't figure out how to change it!
Anyhow, I was at the garden today. Of course it didn't need watering, so I weeded. Still needs more weeding, but I got most of the weeds that were right near the plants. I left in any basil that I found growing around the garden. It's a good companion plant, and I LOVE basil so I'd be happy to harvest any extra.
The peas are climbing the pole-and-string setup just fine. I ate a few and they are very good--they are edible pods and all. Please try some when you are in the garden!
The radishes are mostly ready to harvest (some are starting to go to seed), so anybody who likes radishes should take some.
We are starting to get some nice looking tomatoes. Anyone who is in the garden, please guide the branches to the inside of the tomato cages if you see them starting to poke outside.
The various squash plants seem very happy and are spreading fast--I also saw a few flowers on some of them. They are kind of overrunning the eggplants, so we may have to guide the squash vines around and between the other plants.
I'm going to be away from the 17th-24th, so if somebody else can come by next Sunday that would be great. I'm excited thinking about what the garden will look like when I get back!
Best,
Laura
